David Bruening, Owner/Managing Partner
David is the eldest son of Candlelite Bridal's co-founder Virginia Bruening, and serves as owner/managing partner of our shop. David's involvement with the shop has always been in a support role having designed, constructed, and painted of our shop's original decor.
Holding a BA in History and a M.Ed. in School Administration, he will tell you cannot believe where he presently works and neither can his friends. He retired from teaching history at Avon High School in the spring of 2015 and when Virginia suddenly fell ill April of 2017, David stepped in to keep the family's interests on solid ground.
His favorite post-graduate study has been in the area of art history. He has had a great amount of experience in digital media including the use of technology in the workplace and truly enjoys meeting people and learning their stories. These areas of interest have become the solid foundation for his vision of how Candlelite Bridal will evolve into a modern bridal boutique. He along with his brother and sister are dedicated to maintaining the small shop atmosphere.
David is in the process of redesigning and rebuilding the shop for the first time in 20 years. When not at the shop, you will find him working on the family's acreage in Avon, engaged in some outdoor activity.
David wishes to thank all the families who have trusted Candlelite Bridal in making their events special and hopes that they continue to visit us as the second and third generation steps up to serve our dedicated customers.
